Rehnaa Hai Terre Dill Mein made quite a stir anyway, but when I happen to find out that the girl I was crushing over has a thing for the film. I had to watch it!

I did know for a fact that it quite made a name for itself. The songs were really good. Zara Zara was one amongst them; they say it was here where Hindi Mainstream Cinema started addressing femal sexual desieres openly (that's what they say).

All excited, I watched a 2001 released film in 2024. Understandably, the viewrs after 2 decades of constant exposure in a world which brought global content at home throgh OTT platforms are without a doubt more sensable and better Media Literate to judge what they are consuming and the kinda effect it has on them. The viewrs more smarter, brighter and clever understood what was beig shown and why? The viewer understood the economics behind the depiction of such a charecter. Reson why people were made to root for a monster. It is media and we can set narratives. In this generation of content creation, people like you and me understand how editing can change narratives. The editor on the table can make or break a charecter.

In simple words the film is pathetic not only cause it fails, not surprising but the attemppts to normalize such violance and obsession.
